Volunteer at our Pantries

We have pantries located throughout Northwest DuPage County, each of which have different hours and volunteer needs.

​

Volunteer weekly, once a month or fill in as needed. These are great opportunities for retirees or people with flexible work-from-home jobs.

Volunteer Drivers Needed at All Pantry Locations

Do you have a good driving record and a passion to help others? Volunteer drivers are important to our mission. Giving 2-4 hours a week will help keep food on the tables of neighbors in need. Contact our volunteer coordinator for more information.

Carol Stream - Lutheran Church of the Master

Tuesdays:           Pantry Assistants needed 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Thursdays:          Pantry Assistants needed 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

2nd/4th Fridays:  Unloading orders from NIFB; approximately 2 hours; The ability to lift 25 pounds is needed.

Back-up Drivers* & helpers needed to pick up food on all days; The ability to lift 25 pounds is needed.

Glendale Heights - Family in Faith Christian Church  
Mondays:           Driver* for food rescue program: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Thursdays:          Driver* for food rescue program: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Warrenville - Immanuel Presbyterian Church

1st/3rd Thursdays: Unloading Food Bank Deliveries: 8:00 - 9:30 am

Wayne - Resurrection Catholic Church:

Monday:             Driver* :  Shifts available 7:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. & 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday:             Driver* : 9:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Thursday:            Driver*: Shifts available 7:15
 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. &  9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Saturdays:           Driver*: 7
:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
                            Pantry Assistants needed 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Back-up Drivers* & helpers needed to pick up food on all days. The ability to lift 25 pounds is needed. 


Assistance needed once or twice a week for about three hours unload and stocking shelves.​


West Chicago - 123 Fremont Pantry 

Mondays:          Pantry Assistants needed:  11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays:    Driver* food rescue program: 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
Thursdays:         Driver* food rescue program: 9:3
0 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. .                      â€‹â€‹â€‹

 

* Driver positions - Current drivers license and proof of insurance required. We have a cargo van for the pick-ups so you don’t need to use your own vehicle!
